14k gold-filled

Sourced from the United States.

Commonly known as gold filled, gold-filled is a material composed of a solid layer of real gold permanently bonded under pressure to a base of brass. Our 14k gold filled jewelry has 100 times more gold than gold-plated jewelry. This technique allows us to achieve a jewelry piece with the majestic look of solid 14k gold, without making you pay the full price for it and while avoiding the typical flaking of gold plating.

✓ If you're not wearing them, store them in a dark, dry place, away from the elements.
✗ Avoid harsh cleaning products (e.g. hand sanitizer, chlorine, bleach).
✗ Never rub your jewelry with a rough or abrasive material.

Sterling silver, also known as silver 925, is a precious metal containing 92.5% silver by weight and 7.5% copper. Its lightness and durability make it a highly sought-after metal among jewelry enthusiasts. Several of our pieces are plated with rhodium to make them more radiant and durable.

Maintenance
It's well known that 925 silver jewelry oxidizes when exposed to the elements. However, it's very easy to reverse this tarnishing by polishing them with a polishing cloth.

FAQ

Is your 14k gold filled jewelry hypoallergenic?

The gold layer on gold filled jewelry does not flake off. Therefore, the metal base is hardly exposed to the skin, which reduces the risk of allergies. Thus, a person who tolerates solid gold well can usually wear gold filled jewelry without having allergic reactions.

Can I wear Pease jewelry in the shower?

Yes, you can. However, you need to protect your jewelry from corrosive cleaning products (eg chlorine, bleach, disinfectant gel, lotions and perfume).

Is gold filled similar to gold plated?

No. Gold filled jewelry has 10 times more gold than gold plated jewelry. Because this layer is thicker, gold-filled jewelry lasts longer and resists wear better than gold-plated jewelry.

What is the difference between solid gold and gold filled?

Solid gold jewelry is made entirely of real gold, while our jewelry is made of a thick real gold envelope permanently fixed under pressure to a base of copper.
